A nurse who said she was disappointed Donald Trump wasn’t killed is “no longer an employee” at the taxpayer-funded New York City hospital where she worked.

Janiece Binns, who works at New York Presbyterian, a medical center used by Columbia and Cornell universities, said in an online post a few hours after the attack: ‘So, bro. Work on your skills.’

Binns, who has been pictured on social media wearing an LGBT mask and has shared pro-Palestinian posts, shared a post on her Instagram Story that called Trump’s killer the world’s most hated man because of his lack of .

A spokesperson for New York Presbyterian told DailyMail.com that Binns no longer works at the hospital and his employment has been “terminated”.

Earlier today, he was hanged. His comment sparked outrage online with people saying it violated the health workers’ oath to “do no harm”.

It comes as several college officials, health officials and other professionals are being investigated for similar comments mocking Trump or condoning the firing.

Binns had also posted an online call for a free Palestine and was seen wearing an LGBT mask

A New York Presbyterian spokesman told the website: ‘This person is no longer employed.

Our principles are based on respect and caring for all our patients, colleagues and the community.

‘Words, images or actions that advocate, celebrate or promote violence are against our policies and will not be tolerated.’

They also said his career was “terminated”.

His comments sparked an outcry against the hospital, with many calling for him to be removed from his post.

One user said: ‘Imagine getting attention from a woman who wishes you were dead if you voted differently than her. That gives me my opinion after working with many senior nurses.’

Then the second said: ‘Can you imagine what he would do to the patient if he found out he was a Trump supporter?’ He should not be in a position to take care of people when a person’s life is not small to him. Do well.’

Nurses are required to be impartial in their work and treat all patients equally.

The American Nurses Association, which upholds the standards of this profession, states online as part of their code of ethics: ‘Justice in nursing is about being fair about the patient’s age, race, economic status, religion or gender identity.’

Anthony D’Esposito, Republican congressman for the fourth district of New York on Long Island, said: ‘The promotion of violence after the attempt to kill President Trump is frightening.

‘We must send a clear message that this will not be tolerated, especially to those employed in the health care field who take an oath to help and support all people.’

New York Presbyterian is one of the largest hospitals in New York City, with 2,600 beds and treating an estimated 300,000 patients each year.

It also has a midwifery center, which delivers an estimated 15,000 babies each year.

Binns shared her comments on Instagram, which were re-shared online by TikTok’s Libs and her employer was tagged in them – sparking an immediate reaction.

He has since closed his social media accounts and could not be reached by DailyMail.com for comment.

Ryne Arnett posted his comments online – but later shared a second post claiming it was stolen. He has now activated his Instagram account.

He works at OSF HealthCare – which has 16 hospitals and 2,100 beds in the state.

A hospital spokesperson said: “We are aware of a statement that was shared on the social media account of an employee of OSF HealthCare. An investigation is underway.

‘We condemn any words or actions that seek to discriminate or harm others. this includes online jobs. It is our priority to ensure that every Worker, patient and family experience an environment of safety, fairness and equity.’

In one case, Thomas O’Donoghue, who works at Lee Health in southwest Florida, wrote to X after the shooting saying: ‘It’s a shame he missed it’.

It was in response to a post from Donald Trump Jr., who posted a clip from CNN calling the news provider a disgrace.

O’Donoghue – who is a respiratory therapist, or someone who helps people breathe – faced an immediate reaction for the idea.

One person wrote online in response: ‘He is in a position to see whether people live or die and that makes me very angry that he is willing to express this opinion.’

O’Donoghue has since deleted his social media accounts. DailyMail.com has contacted Lee Health for comment.
